From nikhilbhai's chair The brief was to design a chair with a 2"x 1/4" metal flat. and " I need to see wood" Dilip Patel , the architect said. The idea of a tongue and groove joint visually enlarged and illustrated thru a chair was the takeoff point of ' a doodle'. Eventually this has materialized in the chair. The upholstered black fabric material has grooved inot the wooden bracket-edge. So have the armrests versus the backrest and seat assembly. Unlike traditional processes, the model is made first to help in the deisgn process. Acad drawings follow. |
